Stay Focused

Stay Focused: Sports Massage

Stay Focused was opened because people living an active and strenuous lifestyle need a massage therapist that is qualified and confident in treating them. My goal is for those athletes, that are in chronic or acute pain, to experience the relief that lasts. Even if you are a rookie or a seasoned veteran, I want to get you back in action as soon as possible. I’ll stay focused on you, so you can stay focused on the game.

Policies: How Much to Tip a Massage Therapist, Cancellation, and More

Please read the whole page before coming in.

Wondering how much to tip a massage therapist? Take a look at our policies first to be perfectly prepared. Here, learn about punctuality, payment, cancellation, age requirements, refunds, and more.

If anything inappropriate occurs or if you appear under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we reserve the right to end the session at any time. If need be, the police will be called, and full payment will still be required. Please don't do anything inappropriate.

  • How much to tip a massage therapist, and what are your polices on tipping?

No tips, please! We view the work that we do as being on the same level as a Physical Therapist or Chiro - and you don’t tip them. We also think it helps legitimize the type of massage we do, as well as the massage therapy industry as a whole.

  • How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. This allows for paperwork, restroom use, and for us to start on time. If you are late, we will be forced to cut appointment time.

  • When is payment required?

Payment is expected at the time of service. For your convenience we accept cash, all major credit cards, and FSA/HSA cards. There will be a $35 insufficient fund fee, etc.

  • What are your cancellation policies?

We require 24-hour notice of cancellation and/or rescheduling or there will be a $50 fee. ‘No call, no shows’ will be charged a fee equal to their service price.

  • Is a credit card requried?

A credit card is required to hold all appointments. You may chose to pay in full at the time of booking or wait until the end of session.

  • How old should I be for a massage?

We do not work on minors. All clients must be 18 or older.

  • Are Gift Certificates refundable, and when do they expire?

Gift Certificates are non-refundable and expire a year from purchase date.

  • What if I don’t feel comfortable getting undressed?

It’s all about communication, clients are instructed to undress to their comfort level which is, their comfort level. Most people get completely naked or leave on bottom underwear. ‘Swimsuit’ areas are always covered. We do our best to accomodate but if there’s a certain are you’d like focused on and we can properly access the area, the results may not be the same. We will ask if there are areas you don’t want worked. We will also check in regarding pressure, but also encourage you to let us know!

If there’s anything we can do to help make you more comfortable, or you’re worried about anything, we just need to know so we can talk about it. Everything in the room is adjustable - heat, lighting, what music we listen to.

  • Will my extended healthcare cover a session?

We can accept FSA/HSA cards for payment. We do not deal with insurance companies. If a client ever needs their SOAP notes or a more detailed receipt for insurance purposes, I’m happy to provide that, but you will need to contact your insurance company directly.

  • Do you validate parking?

We have a free parking lot associated with the building, if there are no spots open on the main level, the upper level can be accessed via Clay St.

What our clients are saying…

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. I went in with Achilles tendinitis that has been bothering me for two months and the pain is almost entirely gone. I would be a regular if I lived in Denver.
